I had this once - it can happen if a vanilla copy of the OS has been installed and the Master Boot Record has been changed from the original factory install. Providing the hidden partition has not been removed, you will need to edit the MBR to allow the F10 - have a look at the link below or Google &quot;acer alt-f10 not working&quot; for some more results.

Read through the thread above and it&#039;ll seem quite complicated, it&#039;s not really, once you&#039;ve got the util required it&#039;s pretty straightforward.
