If you work during the day (which face it, most of us do), you don't want to have to book a valuable day off to get someone to fix your computer. You're also very unlikely to want to have to go through the hassle of unplugging your computer and taking up your Saturday morning with a trip into town or to PC World.

Kypoth (which is me, Alex) will come to you, and evening or weekend appointments can be pre-booked to suit your timeframe. Most computer problems can be solved in under an hour, making it easy to fit in with your schedule. Anything longer and I normally take your computer away to the workshop and return it to you fixed, asap, at no extra charge. I can do this because I serve local customers, allowing me to provide fast turnaround times and great value (I bet I cost less than your plumber. I certainly cost less than PC World and I come to you!).

Some of the services on offer include fixing hardware failure, virus removal, solving internet connection problems, ensuring wireless network security, PC Healthchecks, Windows re-installations, providing advice on backup solutions and undertaking performance upgrades. Kypoth can also supply you a new computer or laptop, set up your new PC (even if you didn't buy it here) including the transfer of all your data and arranging secure data removal when you get rid of your old PC.

Why Kypoth is cheaper than PC World

First, let's compare prices...
PC World System Rebuild = £88, Kypoth System Rebuild = £80 (+ time taken to recover data if required)
And now, compare service...
PC World = you unplug your computer, take to PC World. Now that's already at least an hour of your time. Speak to someone who couldn't care less about your prized baby/wedding/holiday photos. Leave computer to be collected 'some time next week'. PC World install 'vanilla' Windows system, which requires you to setup your printer, broadband, digicam, etc when you get home.
Kypoth = Call and book a convenient time. I turn up and check what data you need to keep before taking your computer away to the workshop. That's why I charge for the time it takes to retrieve and backup your data - normally around half an hour (£20) for most users but this maybe more if you're a music nut or film buff. This wouldn't be needed if you backup your own data regularly. There might also be a small charge if you don't have your original installation disks, but this is unlikely if you have a major brand PC. Either way, any charges will be made clear to you before work commences. The computer will then be returned to you within a couple of days including your data and virus software installed, then I re-connect, check your internet, set up your basic peripherals (e.g. printer/digicam), making sure you're happy before I leave. You're entitled to a free follow up call if anything is out of place.
